Two Important Principles

1. Christianity is a revealed religion. Its contents is not the result of speculative human philosophy, nor of a fortuitous evolutionary process of human insight or custom. The source of its content and truth is God himself. Central to that content is the truth of the gospel.

2. Scripture, as the Word of God, is also revelatory, and its authority of its ultimate source. Implied in this first affirmation is the evangelical principles of Sola Scriptura, at least to the extent that the authority of the gospel resides in the Word of God precisely because it is the Word of God. - R.C.Sproul
