William Perkins listed six marks that help you to recognize if you are a child of God.
Mark #1: An earnest and hearty desire in all things to advance the glory of God.
Mark #2: A readiness to submit ourselves to God and be ruled by His Word and Spirit.
Mark #3: Sincerely and cheerfully striving to do His will and to avoid sin.
Mark #4: Working in a legitimate vocation while depending on God’s providence and being content with what God sends you.
Mark #5: Humbling yourself daily before God for your sins, and daily renewing your trust in Christ for God’s grace.
Mark #6: Fighting a continual war on the inside between sin and the Holy Spirit.
